OneA Corporation manufactures poka-yoke products through consistent domestic production. We provide ARROW quality improvement tools to prevent human errors in various situations such as manufacturing and logistics. This time, we would like to introduce a case where our poka-yoke product, the Poka-Yoke Roll Shutter, was adopted in an automotive-related manufacturing site. [Challenge] Due to the repetitive nature of the same tasks in the manufacturing environment, picking mistakes often occurred, where workers accidentally retrieved the wrong parts. [Proposal] We proposed the Poka-Yoke product, the "Poka-Yoke Roll Shutter APG-RS3 Series." Introducing a case study of the Poka-Yoke product "Poka-Yoke Shutter" used in assembly factories.

We will introduce a case where the occurrence of issues due to mistakes in retrieving the introduction width has been eliminated, resulting in reduced search time for workers and improved efficiency in the picking process.

At the same factory, there was a concern about reducing the high incidence of defects caused by specification differences in picking, and they wanted to establish a system to prevent mis-picking. Since a shutter mechanism that only allows access to the necessary width was effective, they were producing an air-operated shutter in-house. However, the in-house air-operated shutter posed issues with high costs for mass production and maintenance. Therefore, by switching to our electric shutter, it became easier to expand to other factories and lines due to the advantages in cost and maintenance.
