[CLA Case] Rubber Material in Metal Hopper (Inventory Management) [Powder and Granule Detection]
Using the liquid level sensor "CLA"! Here is a case study on managing the remaining rubber pellets in a metal hopper.
We would like to introduce a case study on managing the remaining amount of rubber material in a metal hopper using the non-contact liquid level sensor "CLA," which can be installed in various tanks due to its electrodes being compatible with PET film. The extrusion molding manufacturer faced issues such as forgetting to visually check the material, leading to it running out and resulting in defective products, which caused damages including repair time. They also experienced malfunctions with ultrasonic sensors, which caused unnecessary line stoppages and reduced productivity. Therefore, they adopted the "CLA." After implementation, by managing the rubber material at any desired position, the sensor emits a signal when the rubber material reaches the set level, automatically stopping the device and notifying with a beacon light, thus preventing the occurrence of defective products due to material shortages. [Current Issues and Requests] - Managing the remaining amount of rubber material in the hopper visually through a window - Forgetting visual checks and mistakes led to the material running out, resulting in defective products and damages including repair time. - Ultrasonic sensors malfunctioned, causing unnecessary line stoppages and reducing productivity. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
