SKD61 improved steel type blades for crushers and grinders

[Recruiting Trading Companies and Sales Agents] Easily achieves uniform hardness throughout the core! Improved toughness by approximately 1.5 times.

To stably shear waste into a specified size, a highly tough and chipping-resistant crushing blade is necessary. In conventional material "SKD61," increasing toughness to improve chipping resistance inevitably led to a decrease in hardness and wear resistance. However, the newly developed "SKD61 Improved Steel" has resolved these issues. Our company produces long-lasting cutting tools tailored to applications, leveraging our long-standing heat treatment technology, precision machining technology, and quality control system. Additionally, we create work reports for all processes and deliver products with thorough quality control. 【Features】 ■ Successfully improved toughness by about 1.5 times ■ Hardness is easily uniform throughout the core *We are currently recruiting trading companies and sales agents nationwide! Please feel free to contact us. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Brazing of hard alloy to cast iron (FCD500 × hard alloy)

It is also possible to perform carbide brazing processing on cast iron materials such as FCD! By making only the functional parts out of carbide, it is possible to enhance the tool's effectiveness!

The reason why castings such as gray cast iron (FC material) are selected as materials is believed to be due to their high degree of freedom in shaping and the cost savings during mass production. Even for such castings, when strength and wear resistance are required, ductile cast iron (FCD material) may be used. Furthermore, when using tools made from FCD material in environments where the wear conditions are even harsher, enhancing the effectiveness of the tool can be achieved by making only the working area from cemented carbide. In such cases, the brazing processing technology of castings and cemented carbide is utilized. However, there are also technical challenges associated with brazing cemented carbide and castings. For more details, please refer to the "Special Feature on Processing Technologies and Ideas for Cemented Carbide."

The knife shop's murmur: Is that thickness and size really necessary?

A knife shop owner in Seki, one of the world's three major knife production areas, who has been honing his skills for over 100 years, murmurs: "Is that machine design necessary for the cutting you require?"

Hello, I am the knife shop uncle. Our company has been a knife manufacturer in Seki City, one of the world's three major knife production areas, for over 100 years, honing our skills. We have received numerous inquiries about cutting various materials, and among them, I would like to discuss something that has been on my mind. That is, "Is the thickness and size of that cutting machine really necessary?" What do I mean by this? Depending on the cutting machine owned by the customer, there are cases where the proposed knife cannot be installed. Even though the knife we are introducing is clearly superior to the current specifications, it cannot be installed simply because the size of the knife does not fit. The design of the size is clearly over-spec for the material being cut... I can't help but wonder what was considered during the machine design phase. There is an optimal knife size for cutting, which ultimately results in fewer defects. If you ever reconsider the optimal cutting for your work, I would appreciate it if you could remember the musings of the knife shop uncle. If you are interested, please feel free to download the materials.

Essential for those struggling with precision machining of super hard soldered stainless materials.

Precision machining of stainless steel × carbide brazed products at the micron level.

We provide precision machining services using cemented carbide and austenitic stainless steel (SUS304 series) as base materials for brazed products. The base material brazed with cemented carbide will undergo precision machining utilizing grinding and electrical discharge machining techniques. The brazed products have been heated in the previous process, which typically results in distortion of the base material. We will perform precision machining that requires strict geometric tolerances while removing the distortion of the base material. Particularly when the base material is made of SUS or other materials with a high coefficient of thermal expansion, significant warping occurs during the brazing process, and new warping can develop during the grinding process, necessitating advanced machining techniques. For more details, please refer to the "Machining Technology Special Feature" document.

Are you having trouble with the wear of the disc-shaped cutter blade?

Products with carbide brazed onto the worn parts, such as the cutting edges of disc-shaped cutter blades. By making only the functional areas from carbide, the wear resistance of the tool is improved!

Typically, carbide is selected as a material when wear resistance is required. However, considering cost and difficulty in processing, there are many challenges in manufacturing solid carbide products. In such cases, carbide brazing, where only the active parts are made of carbide, can be an effective solution. However, when making only the active parts out of carbide, careful consideration of the joint design with the base material is necessary; otherwise, the functionality of the critical carbide section may be compromised, potentially leading to tool failure. Therefore, it is essential to design the joint section and create appropriately shaped carbide components accordingly. For more details, please refer to the "Processing Technology Special" materials.

Attention those troubled by warping and bending during hard soldering: Precision soldering technology.

Soldering process that minimizes the occurrence of pinholes and warping in the wax layer.

Typically, precision machined products using cemented carbide are often made from solid materials. One reason for this is that the stricter the required precision, such as surface roughness and geometric tolerances, the easier it is to control the machining of solid materials. However, even in brazed products where only the applicable parts are made of cemented carbide, if there is sophisticated brazing technology, it is possible to achieve precision machining in subsequent processes without issues, while also meeting the required precision of the finished product. In fact, considering cost and weight, solid materials made entirely of cemented carbide may not always be the optimal material choice for certain applications. Our company also supports precision machined products based on brazed items made of cemented carbide and austenitic stainless steel (SUS304 series). For more details, please refer to the "Processing Technology Special Feature" document.
