Here is a case study of Company A that adopted Arus's "powdered high-speed steel." The company was using high-speed steel blades in their rubber sheet cutting machines, but due to the lack of durability of the blades, they spent a lot of time on blade replacements and were exploring ways to extend the lifespan of the blades. In response, Arus proposed a method to "introduce highly durable blades to extend their lifespan and reduce the frequency of blade replacements." By introducing our highly durable "powdered high-speed steel," although the unit cost per blade increased, the annual number of blade replacements was reduced from 360 to 30, cutting replacement time by 92% and overall costs by approximately 61%. Typically, precision machined products using carbide are often made from solid materials. One reason for this is that the stricter the required precision, such as surface roughness and geometric tolerances, the easier it is to control the machining of solid materials. However, even with brazed products where only the applicable parts are made of carbide, if there is sophisticated brazing technology, it is possible to achieve precision machining in subsequent processes without issues, and to meet the required precision of the finished product. In fact, considering cost and weight, solid materials made entirely of carbide may not always be the optimal material choice for specific applications.
