In manufacturing plants where checking the oil level in underground pits for cutting oil tanks has become a hassle, we proposed an improvement using the information display light "LA6." By visualizing the cutting oil level with a level meter, it became possible to check the oil quantity from a distance using the number of segments on the display light. We will introduce a case study of improvements in FA (Factory Automation) sites proposed by Patlite. In a casting site where the time taken to replace liquid aluminum material after it runs out was a bottleneck, the layered information display light "LA6" was introduced. By detecting the liquid level in the liquid aluminum tank with a sensor and visualizing the remaining amount, smooth material replenishment became possible. We will introduce a case study of improvements in network cameras and communication proposed by Patlite. In a food factory, when issues arose, there were instances where recorded data was lost due to equipment failures caused by temperature anomalies. To address this, the interface converter "NBM-D88N" and the stacked information display light "LA6" were introduced. By configuring these with a network video recorder (NVR), it became possible to detect HDD failures and temperature anomalies. Utilizing the communication function also allows for email notifications in case of failures, significantly reducing the risk of loss of recorded content. Shimizu Precision Technology Co., Ltd., which manufactures hydraulic equipment such as hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, and hydraulic valves, has introduced 'AirGRID' to visualize the operating status of processing equipment and lines. The product has been installed on all 82 processing machines equipped with Patlite indicator lights, obtaining equipment operation information wirelessly (compliant with IEEE802.15.4 ZigBee). The entire factory is covered by six wireless receivers. By aggregating operating rates and utilization rates, it is used for reliability evaluation of equipment, analysis for improving production capacity, and change point management.
