For welded pipe fittings with buff finish polishing, please consult Benkan Kiko.
There are cases where "polishing" is required for the surface finish specifications of welded pipe fittings, and particularly for stainless steel products, a glossy and smooth finish is achieved through "buff polishing."
"Buff polishing" is a method that uses a polishing tool equipped with cotton, felt, or wool called a "buff," along with a paste-like polishing material, to smooth the surface, especially when a mirror finish is required. Buff polishing has classifications of "roughness," expressed as a certain grade number. Generally, the larger the number, the higher the grade, resulting in a glossier surface on the product.
At Benkan Kiko, regardless of buff polishing finish, we accommodate surface grade specifications not only with the polishing material grade but also with surface roughness parameters (Ra, Rmax, etc.), roughness symbols, evaluations using comparison test pieces, and evaluations using surface roughness gauges, allowing us to meet surface grade requirements tailored to specific applications.
If polishing is necessary for welded pipe fittings in piping design, please feel free to contact us.
