Development of a new resin composite material with a high content of wood biomass - Reducing plastic use and greenhouse gas emissions.
Our company, in collaboration with Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd., has developed a resin composite material (Trefa Bio Composite) that contains a high proportion of wood-based biomass as a raw material. This new composite material can reduce plastic usage by more than 50% and also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. In composite materials made from wood-based biomass such as wood powder and pulp, conventional products have faced challenges in heat resistance and moldability. The newly developed Trefa Bio Composite utilizes Nippon Paper's proprietary Trefaction technology for new biomass solid fuels, which imparts heat resistance, grindability, and hydrophobicity to the wood-based biomass. By using the kneading technology of the twin-screw extruder 'TEX' to incorporate this sustainable wood-based biomass material into the resin at a high ratio, we have created a new Trefa Bio Composite that excels in heat resistance and moldability compared to conventional products. This Trefa Bio Composite and cellulose bio composite will be exhibited at Nippon Paper's booth at "TOKYO PACK 2021." Moving forward, our company will continue to enhance the kneading technology of 'TEX' and advance the development of better products.

Updated construction achievements (May feature "Japanese style")
The feature for May is "Japanese Style," and we have added three construction achievements. Wooden facilities blend well with traditional townscapes. This time, we delivered wooden facilities suitable for various Japanese landscapes, such as hot springs, historical parks, and Japanese gardens. At Zaiens, we offer not only custom designs but also a selection of standard products in Japanese style, such as "pavilions," "signs," "bollards," "benches," and "fence panels," to make it easier for customers to choose.
There are two color variations: a deep brown that captures the atmosphere of burnt cedar and a clear finish that highlights the texture of natural wood.

Small roofed sign (featured product)
The feature for January is "Japanese-style Exterior Spaces." Exterior spaces of Japanese facilities, townscapes, and parks harmonize with wooden structures. This month, we will introduce examples of our wooden facilities, including the currently popular wooden fences (board fences), in various Japanese-style exterior spaces. Zaiens offers not only custom designs but also a selection of standard products with a Japanese design, such as "wooden fences (board fences)," "signs," "bollards," "benches," and "pavilions," to make it easier for customers to choose. What we are introducing this time is the sign series with a small roof. It provides a sign with a Japanese atmosphere at a lower price than a full-fledged roofed sign. It can also be used as a roof for wooden board fences (wooden fences).
