High Presica is a microparticle synthesized from high-purity silicon compounds. There are hard silica particles that excel in load resistance and soft organic-inorganic hybrid particles that do not scratch delicate substrates. The characteristics of High Presica include a very uniform particle size (monodisperse), a nearly spherical shape, and extremely high purity. Leveraging these features, it is used as a spacer in liquid crystal displays (LCDs) to maintain uniform thickness in the cells containing liquid crystal materials, making it an essential component for enhancing LCD resolution. 【Features】 - The particle size is very uniform, capable of ranging from 0.2μm to 70μm. - It contains almost no impurities, with the content of radioactive elements such as uranium and thorium being extremely low at below 0.1ppb, indicating very high purity. It is also optimal as a gap spacer for liquid crystal displays, which dislike the elution of alkaline ions, and as a filler for semiconductor encapsulants, which are sensitive to soft errors. - Surface treatment with silane-based or titanate-based coupling agents is possible to impart functionality. Additionally, it can serve as a carrier for composite particle synthesis, allowing functional molecules to be bonded via surface silanol groups. - It is thermally very stable, showing almost no weight change in the temperature range of 200°C to 500°C. *We are conducting research and development towards new functionalities and high-value-added particles, such as larger particle sizes, particles with controllable refractive indices, porous particles, and hollow particles. *For more details, please contact Ube Eximo.
