It started with the vibration measurement and dynamic balancing adjustment of turbine generators at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Vibration can always be a source of trouble in turbo machinery. However, it is not possible to test all operating conditions, so we can only establish patterns and perform dynamic balancing. At that time, being able to quickly optimize by cross-referencing with prior design analysis and past data becomes an important element in field balancing. In addition to essential items such as phase reference and rotational speed signals, we measure vibration conditions and monitor dynamic balancing by inputting signals that indicate the operating state of rotating equipment, such as generator output and oil temperature, as DC voltage.
