Ground reinforcement work | Protecting structures with the reliability of public performance certification: RES-P method technology.
Ground reinforcement work
Acquiring public performance certification! The RES-P method maintains building safety with reliable structural integrity evaluated by the Building Center and high-precision data management.
To ensure the long-term safety of the planned construction site, appropriate ground reinforcement work based on ground survey data is essential. Neglecting weak ground with insufficient allowable bearing capacity can lead to differential settlement of the building, significantly reducing the asset value of the home due to structural distortion and defects. The RES-P method, which utilizes piled raft foundation technology, provides objective and highly reliable reinforcement measures against such settlement risks. This method has obtained the Building Technical Performance Certification from the General Incorporated Foundation Japan Building Disaster Prevention Association (GBRC Performance Certification No. 04-02) and the evaluation from the Japan Building Center (BCJ-F872), allowing for the formulation of reinforcement plans based on clear design standards recognized by public institutions. By enhancing the bearing capacity beneath the foundation through the combined effects of thin steel pipes and the ground, it can accommodate strip foundations and mat foundations without special foundation reinforcement. As it employs a non-dredging penetration method, it also has low environmental impact and does not contaminate the site. GeoTech Co., Ltd. delivers reliable peace of mind and structural reliability to clients and builders under a high-precision, integrated system using construction management devices.

basic information
The steel pipe material used in the RES-P method has an outer diameter of 48.6 mm and a wall thickness of 2.4 mm, made of general structural carbon steel, and is treated for rust prevention. The application conditions for this method are small-scale structures with up to three stories, a building height of 13 meters or less, and a total floor area of 1,500 square meters or less (for single-story buildings, 3,000 square meters or less). It accommodates direct foundation types such as strip foundations (with a long-term design load of 50 kN/square meter or less) and slab foundations (with a long-term design load of 80 kN/square meter or less). The applicable ground conditions are cohesive soil and sandy soil, with a maximum construction depth of GL-14m. This specification has obtained technical performance certification from the Japan Architectural and Building Center.

Applications/Examples of results
It is used for foundation ground reinforcement work that requires public reliability in construction plans for detached houses, low-rise apartments, and small-scale stores. It is ideal for construction sites that want to smoothly proceed with building confirmation application procedures and for projects that want to present clear technical grounds to administrative agencies and confirmation inspection organizations. Additionally, it is effective in new construction projects where the owner wants to present objective structural safety to gain trust, as well as in properties where there is a desire to avoid long-term ground subsidence risks and maintain the asset value of the building. It is widely adopted in sites that want to perform high-precision and rational ground reinforcement while directly employing strip foundations or slab foundations.
