AGC and the Japan Meteorological Association have started providing a "Snow Damage Monitoring Service" in Nishikawa Town, Yamagata Prefecture.

AGC Inc. (headquartered in Tokyo, President: Yoshinori Hirai) and the Japan Meteorological Association (General Incorporated Foundation Japan Meteorological Association, headquartered in Toshima, Tokyo, Chairman: Kazuhiro Watanabe) will begin providing a weather forecasting service specialized in snow damage (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") in Nishikawa Town, Yamagata Prefecture (Mayor: Taishi Sugano) starting December 1, 2025 (Monday). This Service combines AGC's window-mounted camera "Mihalmo" with the Japan Meteorological Association's image AI judgment technology to provide real-time weather information with images to local residents. This will help prevent snow damage-related accidents in Nishikawa Town, known for its heavy snowfall, and contribute to ensuring the safety of residents' lives. Furthermore, based on the results of this Service, we aim to expand it to municipalities across the country that experience heavy snowfall in the future.
