AGC (AGC Inc., headquartered in Tokyo, President: Yoshinori Hirai) collaborated with Okazaki City to conduct a demonstration experiment using the window-mounted camera "Mihalmo" to monitor pedestrian flow in crowded areas during the 76th Okazaki Castle Ieyasu Summer Festival Fireworks Festival held on August 3. This contributed to efficient remote security and ensured a safe fireworks event. In the previous year's fireworks festival, Okazaki City faced two main challenges regarding security monitoring: - High construction costs associated with the installation of outdoor cameras for short-term use - Delays in video transmission from the cameras due to the influence of the communication environment, making real-time monitoring difficult "Mihalmo" is an outdoor camera that can be easily installed on the interior side of building windows and is also easy to remove. Since it does not require the installation work necessary for conventional outdoor cameras, it allows for cost-effective deployment and is suitable for short-term use. Additionally, the local BWA system of Okazaki City was utilized for real-time video transmission. This enabled stable video transmission even in environments with high communication loads, such as during events with increased attendance, and contributed to reducing the costs of new communication contracts.
