Standard construction materials will use general structural carbon steel pipes (JIS G3444 STK400, etc., with an outer diameter of 114.3 mm or more and a wall thickness of 4.5 mm or more). Manual and hydraulic jacks will be used in combination to continuously drive small-diameter steel pipes, with a diameter of 0.7 to 1.0 m, into the ground, using the weight of the building as a reaction force. The support capacity will be confirmed by penetrating more than 2 m into a hard layer with a converted N value of 10 or more, as determined by ground investigation (SWS tests, etc.). High-permeability epoxy resin and sealants will be applied to the cracked areas of the foundation, and air-entrained mortar will be injected under high pressure into subsided or void areas.
