Are you facing any concerns with high earthwork design at Goldman Sachs? With the enforcement of the "Earthwork Regulation Law (Land Development and Specific Earthwork Regulation Law)" in May 2023, the demands for the safety of earthworks have increased further. In particular, the "Earthwork Disaster Prevention Manual" indicates that for earthworks exceeding 15 meters in height and 50,000 m³ in volume, it is required to "verify the validity of two-dimensional stability calculation models and calculation results (such as the occurrence position of slip surfaces) through three-dimensional analysis (deformation analysis, seepage flow analysis, etc.)." On the other hand, in high earthwork design, it is common to use different software for each type of analysis, such as circular slip analysis, consolidation settlement analysis, equivalent linear analysis, and three-dimensional seepage flow analysis, which poses challenges due to the time and effort required for model recreation and data conversion and transfer. We have prepared a PC for each participant, so we kindly invite those who are interested to take this opportunity to join us. We will provide computers and texts, allowing you to experience FEM analysis without needing to bring anything.
