Overview The secondary side of a Scott-T transformer provides two single-phase circuits that are 90 degrees out of phase. When the two single-phase loads are equal, the primary side becomes balanced three-phase current, allowing it to be used as an emergency power source for buildings and factories without adversely affecting the three-phase generator on the supply side.
