Identified a complex rare bug that occurs only once every several hundred to several thousand times. Debugged seamlessly from the OS kernel layer to the application layer.
At Alive Vision Software, we undertake commissioned work for systems without specifications and for the investigation and analysis of bugs in **"embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)"** where the frequency of reproduction is low and identifying causes is extremely difficult. In this achievement, we were officially commissioned by the OS vendor, which develops and sells the μITRON4.0 compliant RTOS "PrKernelV4," to provide advanced technical support and bug investigation for end users. In a fiber optic fusion splicer, we addressed a severe phenomenon with low reproducibility, where "the device occasionally fails to emit sound after hundreds to thousands of operations (a bug in EDMA)," by utilizing log analysis and debugger backtracing to identify an unreleased semaphore sequence in the exclusive control. We quickly implemented a solution through a provisional implementation. For challenging debugging and technical support issues that are difficult to resolve internally, such as "unexplained freezes or bugs occurring just before mass production or after the product is on the market" and "complex bugs involving OS, drivers, and hardware where the cause is elusive," please leave it to us.

Applications/Examples of results
【Applications and Achievements】 ■ Main Applications (Target Audience and Troubleshooting) Commissioned technical support and troubleshooting investigations for customers of real-time OS (RTOS) vendors. Analysis and countermeasures for unidentified issues in RTOS environments such as PrKernelV4 (μITRON4.0). Debugging of severe issues with extremely low reproduction frequency, occurring once every several hundred to several thousand times, which cannot be identified internally. Identification of root causes and verification of fixes for "composite issues" involving the operation of EDMA and TI chips, as well as specifications of RTOS components like semaphores. ■ Example Achievements Target Device: Optical Fiber Welding Equipment.
