A built-in garage and large openings realized with wooden construction. Utilizing high-strength technology to make the most of a limited site, while ensuring seismic resistance and expanding the possibilities of space.
In the K residence planned within the limited site conditions of Tokyo, the use of the high-strength seismic wall "Kabe Musou 450" allowed for the coexistence of a built-in garage on the first floor and a large open space on the second floor. In typical wooden houses, the installation of garage openings and large windows makes it difficult to secure load-bearing walls, but the excellent load-bearing performance of Kabe Musou 450 enables open planning while ensuring the necessary structural performance. The first floor features a spacious garage space with minimal columns and walls, while the second floor allows for a living space with abundant natural light and views through large openings. This is a construction example unique to Kabe Musou 450, demonstrating the ability to achieve high levels of seismic resistance, functionality, and design even on narrow urban lots.

basic information
**Features of Wall Musou 450** - **High Strength with Maximum Wall Ratio of 29 Times** Achieves a wall ratio of 22 times for the 120×450 type and 29 times for the 150×450 type. Reduces the required wall volume due to high seismic performance, enhancing the design flexibility of buildings. - **Creates Spacious Areas Even in Narrow Lots** Secures significant strength with just a 450mm width, making it suitable for ensuring frontage in narrow houses and for large opening designs in stores, commercial facilities, and roadside shops. - **Simple Construction with Only Nut Tightening** Delivers completed products with joint hardware assembly and adhesive injection performed at the factory. On-site, construction is possible with just nut tightening at the column base and top, contributing to stabilized construction quality and reduced construction time. - **Beautiful Wooden Space with Hidden Hardware** Utilizes GIR (Glue-In-Rod) technology to store joint hardware inside the wood, preventing hardware exposure indoors and creating a high-design space that leverages the texture of wood. - **Supports Heights Up to 6m** Can accommodate floor heights of up to 6m. By utilizing it as a continuous wall, it flexibly responds to medium to large-scale wooden buildings and special design conditions. - **High Reliability with Certification Obtained** Certified by the Japan Architectural Center, it can be designed to meet seismic grades 2 and 3, and is also applicable for long-term excellent housing.
