Optimizing the IPv6/mDNS (Bonjour)/RESTful communication stack for a resource-constrained in-vehicle OS environment.
At Alive Vision Software, we implement and port communication protocol stacks to in-vehicle real-time operating systems (RTOS) in the next-generation mobility (EV/PHV) and smart grid sectors. In this achievement, we were responsible for the implementation of the next-generation communication protocol (SEP2.0) and middleware for a dedicated ECU installed in a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHV) as part of a smart grid demonstration project by a major domestic automobile manufacturer in the United States. If you are an automotive parts manufacturer (Tier 1 or Tier 2) or an energy-related equipment manufacturer facing challenges such as "wanting to implement advanced communication protocols in limited-resource RTOS environments (like OSEK or μITRON)" or "wanting to optimize and port open-source communication modules for your own environment," please feel free to consult with us.

Applications/Examples of results
[Applications and Achievements (Our Core Technology and Open Source Publication Achievements)] Prior to participating in this project, our company developed open source middleware that ported Apple's publicly available mDNS (Bonjour) module to the μITRON (TOPPERS/JSP stack) and H8/300H microcontroller environments. Based on our solid porting know-how at this low layer, we achieved rapid optimization and implementation for in-vehicle operating systems. The results of the porting efforts and technical information from that time are publicly available.
Company information
