The KOZO collection started in 1988 with the desire to introduce Japan's proud washi paper as wallpaper to people, and to pass on the culture, traditions, and beauty of Japanese washi to future generations. Among wallpapers, using kozo (paper mulberry), which can be harvested in winter before the leaves fall, is environmentally friendly. Furthermore, washi wallpaper, which becomes more beautiful over time, is one of the very important options in today's world where the necessity for a sustainable circular society is being questioned globally. The sixth installment, "KOZO 6," aims to discover and communicate the new charm of washi, returning to its origins to pursue the potential of the material itself. It began by re-evaluating the latent capabilities of washi and techniques that have often been avoided, resulting in a supreme original collection that we want to deliver to the world. "Aoyan" This design, inspired by Aoya Town in Tottori Prefecture, the hometown of Inshu washi, was completed in collaboration with artisans, utilizing the techniques that have been preserved. The complex patterns of overlapping colors evoke a sense of richness and warmth.
