MIM method excels at producing fine and complex shapes with excellent strength.
A case where switching from cutting processing to MIM manufacturing improved mass production efficiency and reduced lead time. By reducing the material weight by nearly 90g through material thinning, cost reduction was also achieved. Since the product weight significantly affects costs in MIM, we minimize weight as much as possible. 【Product Overview】 Material: SUS304L Size: 40×35×35 【Castem's MIM Manufacturing Method】 ✅ Wide range of support from 10-piece lots to tens of thousands ✅ In-house mold production, with proposals for reducing initial mold costs ✅ ISO9001 certification for both domestic and overseas factories ✅ Wide range of materials beyond standard MIM materials, including iron, stainless steel, and titanium ✅ Capable of integrated production including precision machining, heat treatment, and plating ✅ Suitable for weights from under 1g to 100g (thickness from 0.2mm to 5mm, sizes from a few mm to approximately φ50-80) Many achievements in medical device parts, male/female screws, inner tubes, side pushers, etc. For small metal parts manufacturing, please feel free to contact us.

basic information
The MIM (Metal Injection Molding) process is a manufacturing method that produces metal parts with the desired shape by mixing metal powder and an organic binder (resin) and injecting them into a mold. It excels in creating fine three-dimensional complex shapes with a wall thickness of up to 5 mm and a density of over 95%. It can accommodate millimeter-scale orders and has superior mechanical strength compared to conventional sintered products. We are also advancing the in-house development of compounds made by mixing metal powder and binder, having obtained a U.S. patent in 1991. For orders of 50 shots or fewer, the shortest delivery time for materials is 30 days, and 45 days when including processing. We also handle "trial molds" with a cost estimate starting from 190,000 yen.

With a posture of "just half a step" without complacency, we have cultivated "lost wax precision casting" over many years. In 1991, we obtained a U.S. patent for "MIM (Metal Injection Molding)." Utilizing 3D printing technology, we offer next-generation precision casting technology called "Digital Cast." We provide optimal proposals through various technologies! We thoroughly support our customers' manufacturing processes! We specialize in complex three-dimensional shapes in small lots of various types and carry out everything from mold making to casting, machining, and simple assembly in-house. We supply products to various industries, including medical devices, semiconductors, machine tools, and aerospace. "Just make it, from one piece." We can propose a wide range of manufacturing methods from prototype production of one piece to mass production. We enable time savings in searching for various suppliers and considering consultation destinations, becoming a true total cost reduction partner by proposing reductions in management costs associated with consideration time and product costs. More than half a century ago, Castem's casting began with handmade machine tools. Today, we have become a company with the top domestic share in the manufacturing of general industrial parts using lost wax and are also engaged in the production of micro lenses and micro needles using the world's highest precision 3D light shaping technology.
