The tapping survey is a method of investigation where specialized tools (tapping rods, tapping hammers) are used to strike walls and assess their condition based on the sound produced. Investigators work using both visual inspection and the pitch of the sound, and tactile examination is conducted simultaneously, allowing for a very accurate assessment of the external wall's condition.
