The rod attachment and detachment during boring operations can be performed via wireless remote control. The rod handling device RHS-2, which allows for safe operation without human intervention, replaces the traditional manual labor for rod attachment and detachment. This model is a high-power type capable of gripping a double pipe combination of the P216 outer rod and the P165 inner rod. It has now been registered with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's new technology information provision system NETIS (Registration Number: KT-230018A).
