Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism - Catalog of Road Inspection Support Technologies: Management of road surface conditions using action cameras! Ensuring users can drive comfortably.
We would like to introduce our non-destructive road measurement series, "Hutec Scan Q." Using an action camera mounted on the front of the vehicle, we capture the surface conditions of the pavement. This technology aims to reduce environmental impact due to traffic regulations and to streamline operations by analyzing pavement videos captured with commercially available action cameras to create reports, evaluating road damage locations and the extent of damage. This technology was utilized for the rapid selection of collection points during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024. By analyzing the captured image data, we evaluate the pavement conditions by calculating the crack rate, rut depth, and estimated IRI. We can output photos from each location and composite images of the routes. 【Features】 ■ Transition from visual inspection to vehicle-based analysis ■ Just driving the vehicle is sufficient (no need for regulations or additional equipment) ■ Non-destructive investigation of the pavement ■ Evaluation of pavement conditions (3 elements) from the acquired data *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
