We would like to introduce a case study on the introduction of the vehicle-mounted digital simple business radio "IC-DU6505BN PLUS" in school-related facilities. The school was seeking a solution that would expand the communication environment of the newly constructed building while maintaining compatibility with existing equipment and allowing for integrated operation. After the introduction, detailed area surveys and demonstration experiments were conducted in locations where communication had previously been interrupted, ensuring a reliable communication range. Since it was mentioned that existing licensed station radios will be repurposed, an area expansion system was proposed as an option. Additionally, since this is a school, new wiring work is difficult. It was indicated that a LAN is already installed on the premises, so we proposed the IC-DU6505BN, which can utilize the on-site LAN. We assumed installation locations for the area expansion system in Building A and Building D, and conducted preliminary demonstrations and on-site communication surveys from other buildings to make necessary adjustments for feasibility.
