◆Concentration Standards Notification - Article 577-2, Paragraph 2 of the Labor Safety and Health Regulations (*1) Employers must ensure that the exposure level of workers engaged in operations involving substances determined by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare to pose no risk of health impairment to workers, by keeping exposure to a certain level. This applies to workplaces where operations are conducted that manufacture or handle such substances (excluding those related to products primarily intended for general consumer use). The level of exposure for workers engaged in these operations must be below the concentration standards (hereinafter referred to as "concentration standard values") established by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. - Substances determined by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare (*2) 67 substances including ethyl acrylate - Concentration standards established by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare (*3) Depending on the type of substances determined by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, the eight-hour time-weighted average must not exceed the eight-hour concentration standard value, and the fifteen-minute time-weighted average must not exceed the short-term concentration standard value.
