We will introduce a case study that verified the energy-saving effects due to improved cooling efficiency through water quality enhancement. This case involves a cooling tower (100 refrigeration tons) at the factory of air conditioning manufacturer D, where the power consumption of the compressor was measured and tracked from the time of trial introduction. By circulating copper ions, approximately half of the scale was removed after 120 days. The reduction in scale is proportional to the decrease in power consumption.
