This environmentally friendly composite material reduces the use of fossil-based and plastic materials while leveraging the characteristics of each material. * "Cellulose nanofiber" refers to fibers that have been finely disassembled to the nano level (one millionth of a millimeter) from cellulose, the main component of wood. It is said to be a "dream new material" that is one-fifth the weight of steel yet possesses more than five times its strength. Being plant-based, it is also attracting attention as a sustainable resource.
