[Achievement Product] Higashi Yuenchi Brick Paving

Herringbone pattern with yokan bricks featuring a moisture-retaining function! Contributes to longevity with materials that change over time!

We would like to introduce the achievements of LAERA's "Millennium Brick." The renovation of Higashi Yuuenchi, located in the center of Kobe and a site for memorial events for the Great Hanshin Earthquake, has been completed with paving using bricks designed to control unevenness. Higashi Yuuenchi connects various stations in Sannomiya to the waterfront and is situated in the heart of Kobe City. It is a bustling place filled with many people on a daily basis and occasionally serves as a venue for memorial events for the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake, making it a very important space for the citizens. In one corner of this area, Millennium Bricks have been introduced for the paving. Long, narrow yokan bricks have been laid in a herringbone pattern, and by mixing bricks with color variations from reduction firing and uniform oxidation firing, the paving has been completed in a way that harmonizes with the surrounding greenery.
