The connection method for the pressure-sensitive part includes internal diaphragms and flush diaphragms, and the choice of which to use depends on the measuring medium.

The measuring medium is pressurized through the pressure receiving part (often referred to as the process connection) to the pressure sensor section. The connection methods for the pressure receiving part include internal diaphragm and flush diaphragm. The choice of which connection method to use depends on the measuring medium. The connection method using an internal diaphragm is easier to handle and can be manufactured at a lower cost compared to the flush diaphragm connection method. It is mainly used for gaseous or liquid pressure media. For all pressure media that may block or damage ports, such as crystalline, viscous, corrosive, adhesive, or abrasive media, the use of a flush diaphragm is recommended. Additionally, in applications where it is necessary to eliminate residues in the pressure connection, a flush diaphragm should be used instead of an internal diaphragm. In the connection method with an internal diaphragm, the measuring medium reaches the sensor diaphragm inside the connection through the pressure port. In the pressure connection with a flush diaphragm, the pressure port itself is flush-sealed using an additional stainless steel diaphragm, allowing the transmitting fluid inside the sensor to transmit pressure to the internal sensor diaphragm.
