The "Macro Fence" is a rockfall protection fence installed on slopes to protect roads and homes from rockfall disasters. It can withstand rockfall energy of up to 5000 kJ, making it effective for large-scale rockfall countermeasures. Due to the small deformation of the net during rockfall capture, it can be placed relatively close to the objects being protected. The deformation amounts of the nets for each type have been confirmed through experiments. "Select the optimal type according to the rockfall energy" There are five types corresponding to rockfall energies of 750kJ, 1500kJ, 2000kJ, 3000kJ, and 5000kJ, covering a wide range of rockfall energies. By choosing the optimal type based on the expected scale of rockfalls at the site, it becomes possible to implement economical measures without waste.

The amount of net deformation is small, allowing for measures to be taken near roads and behind houses. Due to the small amount of deformation of the net during rockfall capture, it is possible to arrange it relatively close to the objects to be protected. The deformation amounts for each type of net have been confirmed through experiments. "Adjust the spacing of the posts to accommodate changes in terrain." We have added a version of the macro fence with a 2000kJ type that allows for the spacing of the posts to be changed from 5.0m to 10.0m in 1.0m increments. By changing the post spacing for each span, the range of applicable sites is expanded. It is possible to arrange the fence in accordance with the terrain, whether it is on a site with undulations, where a longitudinal slope is applied, or when aligning with contour lines. According to experimental results, the load energy is 2002kJ, and the deformation of the barrier surface is 8.3m.
