No need for catalyst materials, surface treatment, or post-processing! Achieve risk reduction and cost reduction in high-altitude work.
"DroneMAT" is an electromagnetic ultrasonic thickness gauge (EMAT) designed for industrial drones. It enables ultrasonic thickness measurements from drones in a more efficient, reliable, and safe manner. Its modular and lightweight design allows various industrial drones to be transformed into aerial UT drones, expanding the range of applications and uses. Additionally, it does not require a contact medium (couplant), and accurate measurements can be taken simply by placing the transducer on the measurement surface. The EMAT device can be mounted on commercially available industrial drones, with the standard mounting bracket being for the DJI Matrice 300 RTK. It can be easily installed if you have a DJI M300. Even those with little drone experience can master the measurement operation in about 15 minutes. The EMAT technology makes measurements easy, and the dedicated app is designed to be simple, allowing for quick learning. [Features] - Compatible with various industrial UAVs - No couplant required - No need to remove surface rust or coatings - Measurements can be taken over uneven surfaces - No post-processing of the surface required - Measurement angles of the transducer can be up to 25 degrees *Sales, rental, and survey services are available. Please feel free to contact us for more details.

Applications/Examples of results
Supports steel plate structures. - Tanks - Steel towers - Bridges (steel bridges) - Pipelines - Other steel structures With the DJI M300, a flight time of approximately 40 minutes is possible, considering payload and power supply. Data acquisition of 2 to 3 points per minute is possible. A single flight can measure 80 to 120 points. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
Detailed information
-
Tank plate thickness measurement scene Currently confirming wireless distance of about 200m. It is believed that communication can be established up to approximately 500m in a straight line (depending on the situation, etc.). By using drones for high-altitude work, - Significant cost reduction for scaffolding and other expenses - Substantial reduction in labor time and planned project timeline costs - Improved safety management for workers (avoiding dangerous risks) Significant cost savings and risk avoidance are anticipated.

DJI M300 equipped with DroneMAT Installation is simple: just remove the upper and lower gimbals and attach the EMAT device to the screw holes. It takes about 10 minutes from installation to powering on. Once installed, flight measurements can be taken immediately. Data can be collected at a rate of 2 to 3 points per minute. Even inexperienced pilots can master it in about 10 minutes.
-
The thickness measurement values are displayed in real-time via wireless along with the A-Scan waveform. Data is transferred directly from the EMAT device mounted on the drone to the Android tablet. The measurement operation is completed with just three buttons: [ON], [SAVE], and [OFF], from measurement to data saving. Finally, simply press [OFF] and move the drone to the next measurement point.

The DroneMAT being measured, the footage from the camera mounted on the drone, and the real-time measurement screen. It is also possible to pinpoint the transducer. The A-Scan waveform stabilizes quickly. Since the transducer is made of a permanent magnet, it adheres closely to the target object, stabilizing the measurement. The transducer maintains stable contact even with the vibrations of the drone and the effects of wind. In conventional UT, the values tend to fluctuate, but with the DroneMAT utilizing EMAT technology, this does not occur. (This applies only when the target material is ferromagnetic.)
-
Even with cylindrical objects, a coating, or a severely uneven surface, stable measurement values are displayed. Because it adheres to the base material with the power of a magnet, the measurement values remain stable even with vibrations.

If the drone meets the device specifications, it can be equipped simply by custom-ordering the fittings. We recommend the DJI Matrice 300 RTK for its flight stability.
