This document introduces a method for simultaneously comparing and calibrating multiple RTD probes using the CTR3000, CTS3000, and CTB9100.
Simultaneous calibration of various types of temperature sensors such as Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD), thermocouples, and thermistors is not easy. However, by setting up an automatic comparative calibration function, it is possible to calibrate up to 44 temperature sensors at the same time. It consists of the following equipment: 1. Multifunctional Precision Thermometer CTR3000 (https://bit.ly/3rWzYAh) 2. Multiplexer CTS3000 3. Micro Calibration Bus CTB9100 (https://bit.ly/3AakeMY) 4. Standard Thermometer CPT5000 The multifunctional high-precision thermometer CTR3000 can be connected to a reference thermometer, calibration bath, and multiplexer. The temperature sensor under test (DUT) is connected to the multiplexer and inserted into the calibration bath.

It enables seamless automatic comparison calibration using high-precision computers. When connected via a multiplexer, it can control up to 44 sensors. The timing and set points of dry well calibrators and calibration baths can be automatically controlled with a defined test sequence. All test data is recorded in the built-in data logger and can be transferred via USB or Ethernet. In the automation menu, you can set and save calibration routines with names, allowing for calibration under the same conditions in future sessions. These data sets can also reference channels connected to each DUT via specific buses, dry wells, reference thermometer channels, and multiplexers. Parameters for stability tests, stabilization times, hold times, and temperature set points are also saved. Based on these settings, the calibration bath is controlled at a predefined series of set points. Once stability parameters are achieved and the hold time has elapsed, all temperature measurements from the reference thermometer and DUT are automatically recorded. After calibration is complete, the data set can be downloaded for reporting results.
