The open GTEM cell 'TBGTC1' is a low-cost open TEM cell for EMC compliance testing. Unlike TEM cells that have limitations at higher frequencies, the GTEM cell can operate at several GHz. Using a spectrum analyzer equipped with a tracking generator, modulated power amplifier, and EMCview software, you can inspect the radiated emissions and immunity of products before and after EMC-related design changes. Engineers can easily verify whether their changes have improved, adversely affected, or had no impact on EMC performance. With the use of the GTEM cell, there is no need to rely on guesswork. When positioned vertically, the required area for the TBGTC1 is only 78 cm × 52 cm. The EUT can be easily placed on the included wooden board located on the GTEM cell spacer.
