360° camera with a fisheye lens and tilt angle for vehicles
By installing a small fish-eye lens camera with a downward angle on a vehicle and directing it skyward (vertically up), it becomes possible to capture the entire surroundings (360 degrees around the optical axis) and also to photograph areas below the camera, allowing for the reading of license plates. High-resolution imaging of the sky is also possible, significantly expanding the range and applications for capturing images of urban sky ratios, clear weather ratios, the tops of high-rise buildings, utility poles, and other structures. Additionally, image unfolding software is standardly equipped, enabling the captured images to be imported and displayed in a clear, flat format. The round fish-eye image shows the sky in the center with 360-degree surrounding images around it. Since it can be difficult to understand where things are located in the image without familiarity, software that allows for clear flat unfolding is necessary. Unlike other companies that offer expensive software, our company provides standard software that can optimally unfold images from our specially developed fish-eye lens, allowing users to start utilizing it immediately.

Instead of compositing multiple camera images, we capture all-around footage with a single camera, which eliminates the need for compositing processing time and ensures there are no seams in the footage, greatly enhancing its value as evidence in case of accidents. Additionally, with typical fisheye lenses, the image becomes distorted at the edges, resulting in reduced resolution, so the area that appears clear (field of view) is limited to the center of the lens. The fisheye lens equipped on our vehicle-mounted 360° camera maintains high resolution even at the edges, allowing for high-resolution capture of the entire 360 degrees horizontally when the camera is installed facing upwards (optical axis: vertical). Furthermore, by adjusting the angle downwards, it expands the shooting range below (to the rear) of the lens's reference plane, enabling wide-angle shooting.
