Using structural timber such as hinoki! Introducing our pursuit of strength and examples of development tests.
We will introduce test cases for the pursuit and development of robustness in our "Column Frame Wooden Structure." We conducted in-plane shear tests on three specimens each for the maximum span (6.0m) under load and the minimum span (4.5m) without load. Additionally, we confirmed the failure mode under 45-degree loading for the two-directional frame. 【Case Overview】 ■ Span 6m and 4.5m, loaded and unloaded - Columns: 120×120mm, Hinoki structural lumber, E110 or higher - Beams: 120×450mm, Hinoki symmetrical graded laminated timber, E105-F300 ■ Two-directional frame - Comparison with in-plane shear test results of the planar frame - Test specimen dimensions: 6000mm×6000mm×2825mm *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Results】 ■ Span 6m・4.5m Load-bearing and Non-load-bearing - Bending deformation of the beam joints occurred, with a stable failure mode in all six test specimens. - No failure resulting in a decrease in load-bearing capacity occurred at 1/30 rad. - There was no loss of vertical support functionality. - The structure exhibited very little variation and was well-balanced. - All six test specimens showed an 80% reduction after 1/15 rad. ■ Two-way frame - Load-bearing capacity was approximately equivalent to two frames as expected. - There was no loss of vertical support functionality. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

LINE Industrial Co., Ltd. is a company located in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, engaged in the production of painting plants, production equipment, conveyors, metal fabrication, and architectural hardware. The discovery made by our representative, who is also a first-class architect, led to the development of a wooden structural system that combines domestically produced hinoki (Japanese cypress) general-purpose materials with cross-shaped connection hardware. We believe that this system can contribute to the wooden construction of non-residential buildings, as it allows for large open spaces without the need for load-bearing walls. We encourage you to consider the "Enclosure Column (Ichuu) Frame Wooden Structure" created by our metalworking shop.
