This is the 500kg load type AGV "S-CART" that enables guide-less operation using laser sensors. It also flexibly accommodates layout changes.
The AGV can handle heavy loads of up to 500 kg, operates continuously for 4 hours thanks to a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, and features a low-floor design with a height of 30 cm, allowing it to easily slide under obstacles. It uses laser sensors, eliminating the need for magnetic tape, and creates a map based on features within the operating area to estimate its own position while navigating. Equipped with Wi-Fi, it allows for easy route setting via a tablet. Being guide-less, it can easily adapt to changes in factory layouts. It also offers options to meet customer specifications, including a following function (duckling-style operation). The S-CART500 considers collaboration with humans through its autonomous and following functions. It can work in various locations and environments, such as factories, warehouses, hotels, and commercial facilities, helping to alleviate labor shortages. *As of April 1, 2023, "Nidec Sankyo Corporation" has changed its name to "Nidec Drive Technology Corporation."
