Tokuyama Corporation, founded in 1918 as a domestic manufacturer of soda ash, is a comprehensive chemical company that produces cement and various chemical products. At the Tokuyama Plant, which manufactures cement, there are three rotary kilns that operate continuously 24 hours a day, where limestone, the raw material for cement, is calcined to produce clinker. In such continuous operation cement plants, each kiln line is stopped once a year to conduct inspections and maintenance of the equipment. The company is experimentally using 'IBIS' for this inspection work.
