The grain is distinct and the wood texture is straight. The surface is somewhat coarse, and the wood has little oil content, making it somewhat lightweight and easy to work with. Various decorative patterns appear depending on the way the growth rings are displayed, and these are referred to by names such as "sasa-moku" (bamboo grain) and "uzura-moku" (quail grain) based on their shape and feel. The finish is done to a super finish on all four sides. *For those who wish, processing up to planer finish is also possible. In the case of a planer finish, there will be a discount of 100 yen.
