This is an introduction to a case where a GE7FA unit was installed. This plant has experienced several startup failures, and in 2007, a trip occurred due to lubricating oil varnish. The plant used an electrostatic oil cleaning machine equipped with fine particle aggregation technology, but it was unable to reduce the high varnish levels. 【Values after EPT Company's Equipment Installation】 (1) As a result of EPT Company's ICB technology removing varnish from the oil, the varnish value decreased. (2) As the varnish dissolving power of the base oil for the lubricant was restored, the varnish accumulated in the bearing box, seals, and gear parts dissolved into the lubricant, causing the varnish value to increase. (3) The varnish that was dissolved was removed again, leading to a decrease in the varnish value.
