[Case Study] Carbon Fiber Cutting Blade <Achieving Cost Reduction with Stable Machine Operation>
After about a year of trial and error and repeated testing, we achieved results that are more than three times our initial goal in terms of durability.
Here is an introduction to a case study of a major textile factory that implemented the "Carbon Fiber Cutting Blade" from Kai Corporation. In the manufacturing process of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), a blade was developed to finely cut carbon fibers as thin as human hair. The development aimed to extend durability and prevent fiber remnants, and after about a year of trial and error and repeated testing, we achieved results that exceeded the initial durability target by more than three times. With stable machine operation now possible, significant cost reductions were realized, leading to great satisfaction from the client. [Case Study] ■ Implementing Company: Major Textile Factory ■ Customer's Challenges - The blades previously used had a short durability - There was variability in blade edge quality, leading to instability in the cutting process *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.
