We have developed a cutting tool for trimming burrs generated in the manufacturing of automotive seat foam.
We would like to introduce a case study of a major automotive seat polyurethane foam factory that has implemented the "urethane sheet cutting blade" from Kai Corporation. The customer's request was to achieve a blade that cuts smoothly and effortlessly. During the development phase, it was discovered that thin and soft polyurethane is a very difficult material to cut. After about six months of trial and error and repeated testing, we sharpened the blade angle and applied a fluorine coating. As a result, we were able to develop a blade that cuts smoothly, greatly improving work efficiency, and the customer was very satisfied.
