Furniture that symbolizes the Bauhaus philosophy of eliminating waste.
The "Ulm Stool" is a stool designed for students of the Ulm School of Design. In 1954, Max Bill, the first president of the university, and Hans Gugelot, who was Bill's assistant at the time, conceived this stool not only as a chair but also with the functionality of a side table, shelf, and portability in mind. Unlike the standard model, which is unpainted, the color model uses birch solid wood that is resistant to scratches. After being dyed to enhance the wood grain, it is finished with a clear urethane. It features an extremely simple U-shape. Its placement and use depend on one's imagination. It can be used as a stool for a work desk, lecture, or café terrace, stacked like a side table or shelving unit, or even turned into a magazine rack, with the horizontal bar serving as a handle when carrying. The design encapsulates multifunctional elements. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
