To recover heat from wastewater, heat collection pipes are installed at the bottom of the sewer pipes. A heat transfer fluid circulates within the heat collection pipes, transporting heat from the wastewater to the utilization facility. After laying the heat collection pipes, a rehabilitation pipe with strength equivalent to that of a new pipe is formed inside them, incorporating a new added value of recovering wastewater heat while renewing the aging pipeline.
