Won the Startup Encouragement Award at the 2023 Infrastructure DX Awards! Surpassed 80 companies in implementation! We solve the challenges of rebar inspection, which requires significant effort!
"Modely" is a service that automatically generates reports for rebar inspection items simply by scanning rebar using devices like the iPad. Approval for "new technology" that can be utilized in public works and registration with "NETIS" have been completed! As a result of field trials conducted in collaboration with the Chubu Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, it has been approved as "new technology" in accordance with the trial guidelines for rebar shape measurement utilizing digital data. This means that Modely is now a target technology for "promoting the use of new technologies in direct construction projects." Additionally, it received the Startup Encouragement Award at the 2023 Infrastructure DX Awards. ■ Chubu Regional Development Bureau: https://bit.ly/41JHBuu ■ NETIS: https://bit.ly/41JZv07 ■ NETIS Number: CB-230008-VE By simply selecting the inspection area on the screen, a fully automated 3D model of the rebar is generated, and reports are automatically created. It can also output the current rebar model, which becomes invisible after pouring, allowing for compliance with BIM/CIM principles. Furthermore, it enables data sharing with clients, completing the rebar inspection in the cloud. It contributes to cost reduction and alleviation of labor shortages through the streamlining of rebar inspections.

basic information
【Features】 - A technology that automatically generates models from point clouds obtained using general-purpose equipment such as iPads/iPhones and laser scanners, completing the judgment of rebar inspection items, report creation, and report submission on-site. - The point clouds and created models can be shared with clients, and confirmation conversations via comments are possible. - Since it is based on three-dimensional data, it can model and measure not only the "number of rebars, rebar diameter, rebar spacing, and rebar cover" specified in the "Trial Guidelines for Rebar Shape Measurement Using Digital Data," but also double reinforcement, circular hoop bars, and rebars arranged on a circumference (such as footings). - The generated three-dimensional models can also be exported (.dxf/.step format), and by combining them with other three-dimensional data, it promotes the application of BIM/CIM. (Support for ifc format is planned for the future.) 【Planned Features for Future Implementation】 Development feature roadmap: https://share.hsforms.com/1EJZL1tasRdqfO_p1EKrwBwddydr (You can view the content by filling out this form.) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Applications/Examples of results
- As a result of the field trial conducted through the "matching of on-site needs and technical seeds" with the Chubu Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, we received evaluations of "superior to conventional technology" in all assessment items and obtained approval as the industry's first "new technology (technology that can be utilized in all public works)." - A technology that automatically generates models from point clouds obtained using general-purpose equipment such as iPads and laser scanners, completing the judgment of reinforcement inspection items, creation of reports, and sending of reports on-site. - The point clouds and created models can be shared with the client, and confirmation conversations through comments at any location are possible. - In addition to the "number of rebars, rebar diameter, spacing of rebars, and rebar cover" specified in the "Trial Guidelines for Rebar Shape Measurement Utilizing Digital Data (Draft)," modeling and measurement are also possible for double reinforcement, circular hoop bars, and rebars arranged on a circumference (such as footings). - Exporting the generated 3D models is also possible, and by utilizing them alongside other 3D data, it supports BIM/CIM applications. - It also accommodates measurements such as overlap lengths and double reinforcement. - It is possible to attach photos and images at any location, centralizing photo management. - Not only can data and reports be shared with the client on the cloud, but it also includes an "approval/denial" function.
