The "Contact Image Sensor Appearance Inspection System" can capture images without distortion at the center or edges of wide workpieces, regardless of the location. When comparing the captured images, the images taken with a line sensor camera showed distortion at the edges of the field of view, while the images taken with the contact image sensor camera had no distortion at the edges.
