When drying sludge generated from community wastewater treatment facilities in a drum to produce compost pellets, mainly ammonia-based exhaust gases are generated. It is cleaned using one unit of Deolizer DR-2W (made of PVC) and a dilute sulfuric acid drip system. While maintaining a pH close to neutral, it maintains performance with ammonia gas concentration reduced from 100 ppm to below 1 ppm.
