Ammonia gas, which is emitted in large quantities from production equipment such as LEDs and semiconductors, is completely oxidized through direct combustion. The NOx (nitrogen oxides) generated during this process is also rendered harmless through reduction treatment, eliminating concerns about air pollution. Additionally, this process can be applied to organic nitrogen substances other than ammonia. For the NOx (nitrogen oxides) generated during ammonia combustion, ammonia is added as a reducing agent and is reduced to harmless nitrogen through a catalyst, preventing the generation of secondary pollutants during wastewater treatment. The concentration of NOx can be monitored using analytical instruments and is continuously controlled to remain below appropriate levels. Hydrogen, organic substances, and organometallic substances other than ammonia can also be treated simultaneously without the need for pretreatment, and the system can accommodate a wide range of concentration levels.
