Before the installation of the Aqua Blaster, a large amount of grease scum accumulated in just one day, leading to the formation of oil balls. Hydrogen sulfide was generated to the extent that it corroded surrounding equipment. The oil balls on the water surface and those that sank to the bottom were regularly manually retrieved and disposed of as industrial waste. As a result of installing the Aqua Blaster, the removal rate of BOD improved significantly to 80%, and the removal rate of normal hexane extractable substances improved to 82%. Even after more than eight and a half years, there has been no need for removal or dredging work, and a no-maintenance state has continued. The dramatic improvement in water quality has led to waterfowl visiting the sedimentation tank every year without fail. Below are the results from the installation in 2012 until 2020, covering eight years: - With a six-hour retention time in the adjustment tank, BOD and n-hex were cut by over 80%. - The floating grease and settled sludge that had accumulated in the adjustment tank have not been removed even once in eight years. - Hydrogen sulfide levels, which were at 100 ppm, have been reduced to 0 ppm. - The outlet of Aeration Tank 1 meets Setouchi regulations. - The sludge conversion rate for BOD has been reduced from 35% to 25%. - The sedimentation tank has remained stable, attracting ducks. - Excess sludge has drastically decreased, and the odor from its steam drying is no longer a concern.

"Improving the issues at the comprehensive wastewater treatment facility of the food complex with the Aqua Blaster." The comprehensive wastewater treatment facility at this food complex had a treatment capacity of 8,000 tons per day, but even with lower wastewater volumes, treatment was not progressing, leading to poor treatment and the generation of unpleasant odors. As a solution, we installed 94 units of a special aerator called "Aqua Blaster (AL-750)," which is a unique technology from Iens, in a 1,500 cubic meter adjustment tank, thereby improving the wastewater treatment issues.

Before the delivery of the Aqua Blaster, a large amount of grease scum and hydrogen sulfide was generated. Just one day before the Aqua Blaster was delivered, a significant amount of grease scum accumulated and formed oil balls. These oil balls grew larger and settled at the bottom, generating hydrogen sulfide that corroded surrounding equipment. The oil balls on the water's surface and those sunk to the bottom required regular manual retrieval and disposal, incurring both effort and costs.

The removal rate of the load resulting from the progress of oil-water separation is not indicative of the treatment itself being advanced. In this adjustment tank, the BOD removal rate was 53% and the removal rate of normal hexane extractable substances was 44%, but this is a result of the progress of oil-water separation in the adjustment tank divided into eight compartments, and it is by no means a figure that indicates the treatment within the tank has advanced.
