Proposal for the manufacturing method of LiB electrode slurry "CDM Process"
CDM process (electrode slurry continuous manufacturing process)
Regarding the particle dispersion method for slurry, we propose the solid kneading method → CDM process (patented) [related video available].
We propose a CDM process using our Filmix® as a method for manufacturing electrode slurries for lithium-ion batteries. Compared to conventional solid kneading methods, it offers the following advantages: - Short processing time - High dispersion capability - High reproducibility - Easy scale-up for mass production ■ Solid Kneading Method Process We use kneading machines such as Hibis Dispermix. The typical process involves adding all powder raw materials → gradually adding liquid raw materials → kneading until it reaches a crumbly to ball-like consistency → further adding liquid raw materials gradually for dilution → performing viscosity adjustment and degassing. <Problems with the Solid Kneading Method> - Maximum scale is around 1,000L - Takes 5 to 10 hours per batch - Low reproducibility ■ CDM Process In the CDM process, we reduce the 5 to 10 hours of the above kneading process by adding liquid and powder raw materials all at once, creating a slurry that can be pumped after about 30 minutes of pre-mixing → then using Filmix® to continuously process the entire amount in 30 minutes. <Effects of the CDM Process> 1) Processing capacity of up to 1,920L/H 2) Fewer man-hours lead to higher reproducibility 3) Reduction in the number of workers required 4) Decrease in the number of devices and installation area needed

basic information
※CDM Process: Continuous Dispersion Mixing Process <Advantages of Filmix®> ◎ Scale-up is possible by managing peripheral speed and residence time. With fewer elements, reproducibility is also high. ◎ A lineup ranging from lab machines processing about 10mL to mass production machines with a maximum of 1,920L/H. Scaling up from research and development to mass production is easy, leading to a reduction in time to market. ◆◇━━━━━━━━━━ Testing now available! ━━━━━━━━━━━◇◆ If you have materials that are struggling with dispersion or uniformity, please feel free to consult with us.
