The Hilton Hotel Portsmouth, located in the city of Portsmouth, is a hotel of the globally renowned Hilton Group, known for its five-star rating. Built in 1981, it has 120 guest rooms. Due to the use of galvanized steel pipes (SGP) for the air conditioning and hot water piping, the hotel faced serious issues with red rust deterioration and leaks after 25 years.
